No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Cruises Past No. 21 Pitt, 19-3

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Top-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse cruised to its 29th straight victory with a 19-3 victory over No. 21 Pitt on Saturday. The Heels equaled the program's longest winning streak, which is now tied for sixth in NCAA history.
Chloe Humphrey had another stellar performance with five goals, two assists and two caused turnovers. Addison Pattillo, Eliza Osburn and Kiley Mottice all added hat tricks, while Julia O'Connor posted two assists.
The Heels defense was dominant again, holding Pitt without a shot in the first half. In total, the Heels outshot Pitt 40-7 and 25-6 on goal. Carolina forced Pitt into 23 turnovers including 15 caused turnovers, three of which came from Mottice.

- Caroline Godine opened the scoring with a free-position goal a minute in.
- Eliza Osburn added another a minute later after weaving through traffic and firing it into the upper left corner.
- Addison Pattillo buried a free-position to give the Heels a 3-0 at 9:04 in the first.
- Kiley Mottice added another off a feed from Chloe Humphrey to make it 4-0.
- Osburn with her second of the day to force a Pitt time out at 7:37 in the first.
- Carolina held Pitt without a shot in the first quarter, while getting off 15 of its own.
- Osburn opened the second quarter by securing her hat trick.
- Kaleigh Harden used some slick stick work to beat the keeper to make it 7-0.
- Chloe Humphrey gets on the board off an assist from Julia O'Connor to force another timeout.
- Mottice added her second on an assist from Osburn to make it 9-0.
- Mottice intercepted a pass and moved it downfield to Pattillo who took it in from midfield and scored to make it 10-0.
- Humphrey added two more to bag her hat trick and make it 12-0.
- UNC outshot Pitt 27-0 in the first half, including 19-0 on goal.
- Humphrey opened the second half with two more, one on a free position and one off a feed from Pattillo to make it 15-0.
- Eva Ingrilli scored her first goal since March 16, 2024 as she recovered from injury to make it 16-1.
- Pattillo secured her hat trick to make it 17-1 Heels.
- Kate Levy got on the board to increase the lead to 18-2.
- Charlotte Rathjen buried a free position to make it 19-3.

- The Tar Heels current 29-game winning streak is the longest in the nation. The 29-game streak is tied for the longest in program history and tied for the sixth longest in NCAA history.
- Chloe Humphrey posted her 25th hat trick in 29 career games.
