No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Powers Past Pirates, 23-3

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 1 North Carolina women's lacrosse started hot and kept their foot on the gas in defeating ECU 23-3 on Saturday at Dorrance Field. Chloe Humphrey scored five goals and dished out a career-high five assists, while Addison Pattillo tallied four goals and two assists on the day.
Seniors Darcy Felter and Kiley Mottice each bagged hat tricks on Senior Day, while Julia O'Connor provided three assists of her own.
The Heels dominated the draw, winning 20 of the 27 draw controls during the game. UNC outshot ECU 36-18, while causing eight turnovers.

- Addison Pattillo scored seconds later to make it 2-0.
- Osburn with a laser 90 seconds in to make it 3-0.
- Pattillo on the dodge got her second of the game coming out of an ECU timeout.
- Eva Ingrilli got on the board on a nice pass from Darcy Felter to make it 5-0 three minutes in.
- Chloe Humphrey notched her first of the game on a turnaround laser coming out from behind the goal.
- Darcy Felter converted a free position to make it 7-0 at 10:51 in the first.
- Pattillo got her hat trick after blowing by an ECU defender and firing home in the top left corner.
- Kiley Mottice got on the board on an assist from Humphrey.
- Humphrey with her second on a free position to give UNC a 10-0 edge at 8:30 left in the first.
- Pattillo with her fourth on a slick feed from Humphrey.
- Pattillo returned the favor and Humphrey rocketed one past the keeper to make it 12-1 with 2:59 left.
- Humphrey opened the second quarter with her fourth of the game from Osburn.
- Felter with another off an assist from Humphrey and UNC led 14-2 at 8:26 left in the half.
- Pattillo caused a turnover and assisted Caroline Godine for number 15 on the day.
- Mottice with her second from Humphrey to make it 16-2 at the half.
- Humphrey opened the second half with her fifth on a free position.
- Felter on a long feed from Humphrey to make it 18-2.
- Mottice secured her hat trick off a feed from Felter to make it 19-2 late in the third.
- Negai Nakazawa got on the board on an assist from Julia O'Connor to make it 21-2 midway through the fourth.
- Mairyn Dwyer with a nice catch and finish from O'Connor to make it 22-2.
