CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 3 University of North Carolina women's tennis took on NC Central in a midweek matchup Tuesday afternoon. The Tar Heels picked up their fourth-straight sweep as they topped the Eagles, 7-0.
Yet again, Carolina defended their home court improving to 10-0 at home so far this season.
Tuesday's match started with doubles action where duo Tatum Evans and Anna Frey played in the ones position for the first time this season. The pair raced to a dominant 6-1 win over the Eagles. Theadora Rabman and Claire Hill were partners again in the Carolina lineup. The duo clinched the doubles point for the Tar Heels with a 6-2 victory.
In singles, no. 70 Anna Frey led the way with a straight-set win to give UNC their first singles win of the day. Mary Grace Rennard and Maddy Zampardo followed with two more wins to clinch the match for Carolina.
The Tar Heels and Eagles played out the rest of the match giving UNC three more wins in singles. Claire Hill, no. 6 Oby Kajuru, and no. 100 Theadora Rabman each picked up straight-set wins to secure the sweep for the Tar Heels.
