Women’s Soccer Readies For Road Match At Clemson

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 1 Carolina women's soccer will head south to take on Clemson Thursday night for its second road test of the ACC season. The Tar Heels and Tigers are set for an 8 p.m. kickoff from historic Riggs Field with live streaming on ACC Network.

UNC will travel to Clemson, S.C., for the first time in eight seasons. The Tar Heels and Tigers last clashed in Clemson during the 2018 season where Carolina picked up a 1-0 victory. Carolina leads the series against Clemson 37-1-1, recording its only loss and tie against the Tigers on the road.

The Tar Heels head into the match on an eight-game winning streak, powered by the offensive spark of Bella Devey and a connected backline defense. Defensively, Carolina has continued to play as one unit, posting seven shutouts while allowing just .67 goals per game on average.

Whether they're on the road or on their home pitch, the Tar Heels have continued to put together dominant performances. UNC has compiled a 4-0 record on the road so far this season while outscoring opponents 8-2. Two of Carolina's road wins have come in shutout fashion.
