Women's Golf Still 3rd In Nashville

North Carolina remains in third place in the Mason Rudolph Championship after shooting 3-over-par 287 in the second round Saturday at Vanderbilt's Legends South Course in Franklin, Tenn.

Sophomore Helen Yeung led Carolina with a 2-under 69, while junior Reagan Southerland sits in third in the individual standings at 5-under 137.

Mississippi State leads after 36 holes at 17-under 551. The host Commodores are in second place eight shots behind the Lady Bulldogs, with UNC third at even par. Baylor is fourth at 2 over and Arizona State is fifth at 9 over.

Mississippi State's Ava Merrill (68-67) is the clubhouse leader at 7-under 135, one stroke better than Vanderbilt's Sam Whateley.

Southerland (66-71) is third at 5-under 137, while Yeung (72-69) is tied for 14th at 1-under 141.

Freshman Grace Ridenour (71-72), playing as an individual in her college debut, is 18th at 1-over 143.
