Women’s Soccer Begins Homestand With Match Against Rice

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's soccer (1-2, 0-0 ACC) welcomes Rice (2-0, 0-0 American) to Dorrance Field on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.
The Matchup
Sunday marks the first time in program history that the Tar Heels will face the Rice Owls.
Olivia Thomas leads the Carolina offense while Mariana Elizondo leads the attack for Rice. Thomas has recorded one goal and two points while taking 18 shots with five on goal so far this season. Elizondo has tallied two goals and four points for the Owls.

- Liya Brooks has been the starting goalkeeper for the Tar Heels logging 225 minutes. The redshirt sophomore has tallied seven saves while allowing four goals for an average of 1.60 goals allowed per game.
