
Parker Wolfe Sets Penn Relays 5,000m Meet Record

Philadelphia, Pa - Parker Wolfe (13:31.09) made a statement in his outdoor season debut as he set the Penn Relays meet record in the men's 5,000m. Carolina swept the podium as Ethan Strand 13:31.13, (third all-time) and Colton Sands (13:31.62, fifth All-Time) both moved up the Carolina record book. All three runners made their outdoor season debut after competing in the 2025 Indoor National Championship. All three went under the 47-year-old meet record.
Joe Sapone (3:44.14) opened the prestigious Penn Relays with a personal best time and a four-place finish in the men's 1500m.Â
Both Tar Heel runners finished in the top ten of the women's 3000m steeplechase. Sydney Masciarelli (10:00.13) finished in second with an 11-second PR, which was the third fastest time in program history. Masciarelli has notched a personal best time in five straight races. Sasha Neglia (10:16.74) took tenth.
In her first race since the 2024 NCAA Cross Country National Championships, Fatima Alanis (33:32.75) came out in her first track race in almost a year, she finished in second.
