The Lead: In its first Atlantic Coast Conference matches of 2025, the No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels will travel north to face Syracuse and Boston College during the opening weekend of ACC play.

Storylines:

Carolina is seeking its 13th ACC championship.
- The Tar Heels are the defending ACC Champions.
Since 2015, North Carolina went a perfect 20-0 in ACC opening weekend matches.
Under Brian Kalbas, North Carolina is a perfect 30-0 against Syracuse and Boston College.

This week, the ITA released its first outdoor rankings of the season.
- UNC had four singles players and three double pairs ranked.
  - Reese Brantmeier is ranked No. 10.
  - Theadora Rabman is ranked No. 13.
  - Carson Tanguilig is ranked No. 32.
  - Tatum Evans is ranked No. 35.
  - Carson Tanguilig & Susanna Maltby are ranked No. 3.
  - Reese Brantmeier & Alanis Hamilton are ranked No. 15.
  - Theadora Rabman & Tatum Evans are ranked No. 34.
Carson Tanguilig is seeking her 100th career singles and doubles victory this weekend.
- Currently, she has 99 singles and doubles victories.
- She would become the 14th Tar Heel to eclipse 100 career doubles victories and the 21st to ever eclipse 100 singles wins.
So far, North Carolina has recorded an 82-39 overall singles record while collecting a 33-7 doubles record entering the outdoor season.
