Tar Heels Sweep Eagles In Outdoor Opener, 7-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- In its 2024 outdoor debut at the Chewning Tennis Center, the No. 4 North Carolina Tar Heels (10-2, 3-0) defeated Boston College (6-5, 1-3), 7-0.
In doubles action, The Tar Heels jumped out to an early advantage after Abbey Forbes and Tatum Evans won 6-1 on court two. Afterwards, on court one, the No. 15 ranked duo of Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig clinched the doubles point for North Carolina with a 6-4 victory.
In singles play, on court five, Tatum Evans won 6-0, 6-0 for her first collegiate singles victory.
On court two, Carson Tanguilig picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory to give Carolina its third point of the match. Abbey Forbes and Anika Yarlagadda each recorded victories as the Tar Heels added its fourth and fifth points of the day.
Thea Rabman and Fiona Crawley completed the 7-0 sweep of the Eagles with straight set wins on court six and one.
