Women’s Soccer Plays Louisville At Home Thursday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Boasting the No. 1 RPI in the country, the third-ranked North Carolina women's soccer team is set to play Louisville on Thursday night at Dorrance Field for a 7 p.m. ET match.
The contest will air on ACCNX with Matt Krause on call along with former UNC women's soccer standout Brianna Pinto, who currently plays for NC Courage in the NWSL. Tickets are available for purchase here.

- This will be the seventh meeting between Carolina and Louisville. The Tar Heels are 4-1-1 all-time against the Cardinals, including 1-0-1 in Chapel Hill.
- UNC has out-scored UofL 14-4 all-time, including 5-1 in Chapel Hill. Carolina posted a 2-0 win in the last meeting on Oct. 27, 2022, in Kentucky.
- Linda Ullmark was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week on Oct. 1 after two goals and one assist in a 3-2 win over No. 19 Virginia on Sept. 27.
- Ullmark is the first Tar Heel with 5+ points in a single contest this season, and the third to record a brace. She also became just the third UNC freshman to have 5+ points in a game since 2018.
- The team has kept all opponents to five shots on goal or fewer (2.7 per game) and all opponents to 15 shots or fewer (6.5 per game). UNC also has seven shutouts on the year.
- Having scored in four of the last five matches, Kate Faasse leads the team with eight goals and 17 points. The junior's four game-winning goals rank first in the ACC and is tied for third in the nation.
- Dating back to Oct. 7, 2023, while at Brown, goalkeeper Clare Gagne has played every minute of the last 19 games. That's an active streak of 1,730 minutes.
- The Tar Heels are ranked No. 3 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll. The program has been in the top 10 all season, and has been ranked 520 consecutive weeks.
- Trinity Armstrong, a freshman defender, was recently named to the U.S. U17 National Team. She will play at the 2024 FIFA U17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic from Oct. 16-Nov. 3.
