No. 1 Women's Tennis Defeats Campbell, 7-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The UNC women's tennis team (2-0), defeated the Campbell Fighting Camels (0-1) 7-0 on Monday afternoon.
In doubles play, the No. 1 tandem of Reese Brantmeier and Elizabeth Scotty quickly gave UNC the doubles point advantage after winning 6-0. Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig clinched the doubles point, giving the Tar Heels the early 1-0 lead entering singles. On court three, the eleventh-ranked duo of Abbey Forbes and Reilly Tran battled on court three and were leading 3-2 when the point was clinched, causing their match to go unfinished.
In singles action, Fiona Crawley led the Tar Heels with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory on court one. Shortly after, Abbey Forbes positioned Carolina to clinch following her 6-0, 6-2 victory.
Carson Tanguilig won the third singles point for the Tar Heels to clinch their second victory of the season with a 6-1, 6-2 finish.
Despite clinching the match, Sara McClure, played a perfect 6-0, 6-0 performance on court six in her first match of the season. Reilly Tran and Thea Rabman also earned wins.
