Wrestling Ready For Weekend Doubleheader

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - The No. 27 North Carolina wrestling program concludes its non conference portion of the 2022-23 schedule this weekend, facing Harvard and Brown in a Saturday doubleheader.
Last Time Out
The Tar Heels competed twice last weekend in Pennsylvania, boasting three individual champions at the F&M Open, before falling to Penn in dual action Saturday evening.
At the F&M Open, the trio of Lachlan McNeil (141), Austin O'Connor (157) and Gavin Kane (184) were victorious, closing out their weekend victorious against the Quakers to each finish unblemished at 7-0. UNC saw runner-up performances by Jayden Scott (149) and Jack Wagner (125), as Spencer Moore (125) also finished top-three in his respective class. Wil Guida (149), Joey Mazzara (165), Cade Lautt (197) and Max Shaw (197) rounded out the day for the Tar Heels placing in the event.
Against Penn, Jack Wagner (125), McNeil (141), O'Connor (157), Joey Mazzara (165) and Kane (184) secured wins for UNC.
