#1 UNC Women's Tennis Sweeps Clemson, 7-0

CARRBORO, N.C. - Senior Alle Sanford won the clinching point to send No. 1 North Carolina to a 7-0 victory over Clemson in an ACC women's tennis match Friday afternoon from Chapel Hill Tennis Club.
North Carolina (22-0, 11-0 ACC) grabbed the early lead by capturing the opening doubles point. Carson Tanguilig and Reilly Tran won quickly by a 6-0 score on court three and Cameron Morra and Alle Sanford secured the 1-0 lead after a 6-2 win on court two.
No. 37 Fiona Crawley, the nation's leader in singles wins, picked up her 37th victory on court two, 6-3, 6-0, to extend the lead to 2-0 Tar Heels.
Lindsay Zink fell behind early in her first set on court six, but rallied nicely to post a 6-4, 6-2 win. Sanford clinched the UNC win from court five, 6-4, 6-4.
No. 44 Carson Tanguilig and Anika Yarlagadda won in straight sets to put Carolina ahead 6-0.
No. 8 Morra made it a clean sweep with a three-set victory on court one.
UNC has won 59 straight home matches and its last 45 regular season ACC matches.
Sunday serves as Senior Day for the program, who will honor Morra and Sanford with a ceremony before the match with the Yellow Jackets. As part of the festivities, free food and prize raffles will take place on Sunday for all patrons in attendance.
