Busy Weekend Ahead For #1 Carolina Women's Tennis
March 17, 2022 | Women's Tennis
CHAPEL HILL - Spring break is nearly over and it's now time for the North Carolina women's tennis team to turn its attention to the final four weeks of the ACC regular-season schedule. Carolina welcomes a pair of unranked league foes in Syracuse and Boston College to the Chapel Hill Tennis Club this weekend. UNC takes on the Orange on Friday at 3 p.m. and the Eagles on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The No. 1 ranked Tar Heels enter the weekend with a perfect 15-0 record, and is joined by Iowa State (11-0) as the only two remaining unbeaten teams in Division I.
Tar Heel head coach Brian Kalbas enters the weekend with 698 career victories. A pair of wins would put him in a rare club of just four Division I women's tennis coaches to ever achieve 700 victories.
