Carolina Dominates National Rankings

North Carolina remains No. 2 in the ITA women's tennis national rankings, and five Tar Heel players are ranked in singles along with two doubles tandems.
North Carolina (11-1) solidified its national ranking earlier in the week with a pair of 7-0 wins over UNCG and Appalachian State.
Carolina has three of the top-6 players ranked in Division I women's tennis with junior classmates Makenna Jones, Alexa Graham and Sara Daavettila checking in No. 2, 5 and 6, respectively this week.
Freshman Cameron Morra is No. 27 and sophomore Alle Sanford is No. 122.
In doubles, Jones and Morra remain in the top 5 at No. 4, while senior Jessie Aney and Graham go from unranked to No. 16 behind a perfect 5-0 record thus far in dual matches.
UNC begins Atlantic Coast Conference play on Friday at No. 36 Boston College, who boasts a 9-1 record this spring. The Eagles are 1-1 in league play after knocking off nationally-ranked Syracuse at the beginning of February, and fell 5-2 last time out at Virginia on Feb. 16.
Yufei Long is the lone ranked BC singles player at No. 101.
The weekend continues on the road at No. 27 Michigan on Sunday at noon in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Wolverines are 3-1 on the year and host No. 20 Pepperdine on Friday in advance of Sunday's match with the Tar Heels.
Michigan has a quartet of singles players: No. 8 Kate Fahey, No. 21 Chiara Lommer, 2017 NCAA singles national champion and 31st ranked Brienne Minor and No. 85 Giulia Pairone.
Fahey and Minor combine as the No. 24 doubles team.
