MIAMI SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the 68th meeting between North Carolina and Miami in a series that dates back to 1976. Â
• The Tar Heels trail Miami in the series with an overall record of 29-38-1.
• In last year's game, the Heels tacked on 14 hits and put up 12 runs over the first 4 innings.Â
DOMINANCE IN CHARLOTTE
• North Carolina continued to make Charlotte its second home with an 11-3 win over South Carolina on Tuesday, its fourth straight win at BB&T Ballpark.
• Over their last four trips in as many years, the Heels have outscored opponents 60-10 and logged 49 hits.Â
• The Tar Heels have beat South Carolina a combined 46-8 in over the last three seasons in Charlotte.Â
