No. 30 North Carolina take their five-game winning streak to Coral Gables, Fla., for a big ACC series against Miami this weekend. The Tar Heels are 8-4 in ACC play and sit one game behind Duke for first place in the Coastal Division while the Hurricanes are 6-6 and tied for third with Georgia Tech. In 2017, Carolina took two of three games from the Hurricanes in Chapel Hill en route to a first place finish in the Coastal Division.

• This will be the 68th meeting between North Carolina and Miami in a series that dates back to 1976.

• The Tar Heels trail Miami in the series with an overall record of 29-38-1.

DOMINANCE IN CHARLOTTE

• North Carolina continued to make Charlotte its second home with an 11-3 win over South Carolina on Tuesday, its fourth straight win at BB&T Ballpark.

• Over their last four trips in as many years, the Heels have outscored opponents 60-10 and logged 49 hits.

• The Tar Heels have beat South Carolina a combined 46-8 in over the last three seasons in Charlotte.
