Softball Hosts Doubleheader Against UNC-Greensboro

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Back from a week of tough competition in California, the North Carolina softball team hosts UNC Greensboro Tuesday afternoon at Finley Field. The first game of the double-header begins at 2 p.m.
Carolina, now 11-13, swept a double-header at Santa Clara on March 10 before embarking on the weekend's National Invitational Softball Tournament, hosted by San Jose State. The Tar Heels were 1-4 against a very competitive field, including a 6-0 loss to eventual champion California.
Senior third baseman Megan Smith was named to the N.I.S.T All-Tournament team after batting .438 (7-for-16) in the tournament. She had four RBI and a double and registered a .916 fielding percentage.
