CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – In a top 10 battle, no. 7 Carolina women's soccer will host no. 5. Michigan State Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels and Spartans will kick off at 1 p.m. from Dorrance Field at Play2Dream Legacy Stadium with streaming available on ACC Network.

The teams will clash for just the second time in program history and the first in 16 seasons. In their previous meeting, UNC picked up a shutout win, 3-0.

Heading into Sunday's match, Carolina and Michigan State both remain unbeaten this season while recording clean sheets against each of their opponents. UNC has outscored their opponents 14-0 to start the season while the Spartans have outscored theirs 3-0.

Tar Heel Tidbits

Lilliah Blum and Summer Denigan have now scored in two consecutive matches.
Peyton Trayer recorded a career-high two saves in goal in the match against Arkansas.

Bella Devey was tabbed ACC Player of the Week after leading the nation in scoring with five goals and 10 points. The honor marks the first ACC weekly award of her career. She was also named to the Preseason All-ACC Team.

Amari Manning and Deus Stanislaus were called up for a U-17 WNT camp and are set to miss the first three matches of the season. The camp is the final training session as the national team prepares for the U-17 FIFA World Cup later this fall.
Aven Alvarez, Hope Munson, and Sealey Strawn were named to the U-20 WNT roster for the upcoming 2026 U-20 FIFA Women's World Cup. The trio of Heels will compete with the national team Sept. 5-27 in Poland.
