Women’s Tennis Concludes Regular Season With Sweep At FSU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 5 University of North Carolina women's tennis competed at Florida State in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels swept the Seminoles earning their 11th ACC win this season.
In doubles, Tatum Evans and Oby Kajuru were partnered together on court two. The duo picked up a dominant 6-1 win to get Carolina going. Anna Frey and Maddy Zampardo finished shortly after with a 6-2 win to clinch the doubles point for the Tar Heels. UNC and Florida State played out the rest of the doubles matches where no. 5 Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton won 6-4 on court one.
On court one in singles action, no. 11 Oby Kajuru raced to a straight-set win over no. 98 Eva Shaw to extend Carolina's lead at 2-0.
Theadora Rabman earned her second-straight win after topping Lauren Anderson on court six. The junior's win put the Tar Heels within one from clinching the match at 3-0.
Maddy Zampardo would clinch the match for UNC after downing her Seminole opponent in straight sets. Her win secured a 4-0 sweep for Carolina to round out the road trip and regular season.
