Gymnastics To Host Tri-Meet On Senior Night

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 18 University of North Carolina gymnastics is set to host Nebraska and no. 19 Penn State in a tri-meet Friday night. The action is set to begin at 7 p.m. with streaming available on ACCNX. Friday's meet will wrap up the regular season for the Tar Heels and celebrate the 2026 senior class for senior night.
The Tar Heels head into the meet off a statement win over no. 13 Minnesota last week. Carolina posted their highest score of the season and fourth best in program history with a 197.200. The team also recorded their best beam performance since 2001 recording a 49.425.
Carolina is ready for yet another Big Ten challenge as they compete against their third-straight opponents from the conference. The Tar Heels last clashed with the Huskers twice in the 2024 season. UNC lost both matchups to Nebraska on the road.
Penn State enters the tri-meet as the only other ranked team among the competition. The Nittany Lions rank just behind the Tar Heels at no. 19.

- UNC ranks no. 18 in the nation and no. 4 in the ACC heading into week nine of the season.
