No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Beats Princeton, Books Spot In Final Four

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Top-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse defeated No. 8 Princeton, 19-10, on Thursday to book its place in the Final Four. The Tar Heels will make their 14th appearance in the national semifinals, which is tied for the third most all-time, when they face No. 4 Florida next Friday.
The Tar Heels had 10 goal scorers on the night and six with multiple goals, but Ashley Humphrey stole the night with five assists. Her second assist of the game broke the NCAA record for career assists at 247 and she finished the game with 250.
The Tar Heels improved their nation-leading win streak to 20 games (20-0), while the Tigers fell to 16-4.
