Track & Field Stays Local At High Point University This Weekend

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina track and field will compete at VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C., on Friday and Saturday, April 4.
The meet will be broadcast on ESPN + and the live stats will be available on Flash Results.
The field events headlined last weekend's outdoor opener. Max Stakun-Pickering (7572 points) opened the outdoor season in Austin, Texas, with a massive PR. Stakun-Pickering is currently the number two decathlete in the country.
The hammer throwers notched five personal best marks over the weekend, including Ty Castro, who PRed each throw, including his final throw of the day, which was roughly seven meters above his career-best heading into Saturday's action at the Raleigh Relays.
