Undefeated Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Clemson For Top-10 Clash

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 2 North Carolina women's lacrosse looks to make it eight straight after a top-10 battle with No. 9 Clemson on Saturday, March 15, at Dorrance Field.

Ten Things to Know
- This will be the fourth meeting all-time between North Carolina and Clemson. The Tar Heels lead the series at 3-0, including 1-0 in Chapel Hill. UNC has out-scored CU 51-23 across three games in the series.
- North Carolina is looking for its third top-10 win this year. They had back-to-back top-5 wins at #5 Florida (14-9) on Feb. 15 and vs. #4 Syracuse (16-8) on Feb. 22.
- Chloe Humphrey was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on March 11. She totaled 11 goals, five assists and 16 points across two games last week. She leads the Tar Heels with 29 goals, which ranks third in the ACC and eighth in the NCAA.
- C. Humphrey joins Ashley Humphrey (Feb. 18) Sam Forrest (Feb. 11) and Brooklyn Walker-Welch (Feb. 18) as ACC Players of the Week this year, giving UNC a league-leading four ACC Players of the Week.
- Through seven games, Carolina has outscored its opponents 126-35. UNC ranks second in both the ACC and NCAA in scoring offense with 18.0 goals per game.
- Carolina's defense has held opponents to 5.0 goals per game, which ranks first in both the ACC and NCAA. The team has yet to allow double-digit goals all year.
- Together, Ashley and Chloe Humphrey have combined for 43 goals, 33 assists and 76 points. That's 34.1%, 49.3% and 39.4% of UNC's total offensive production, respectively.
- Betty Nelson and Lexi Zenk have combined for a nation-leading .588 save percentage. Nelson's 5.90 goals-against average is first in the ACC and second in the NCAA.
- Ashley Humphrey is the 15th Tar Heel in program history to record 50+ career assists while at UNC. She is currently tied with Marie McCool for 10th in program history with 63. She achieved that feat in just 23 games.
- Ashley Humphrey is averaging 3.57 assists per game, which leads the ACC and ranks fifth in the NCAA. She ranks first in both career assists (193) and assists per game (3.57) among all active DI players.
