Men's Fencing Goes Undefeated On Senior Day

CHAPEL HILL, NC -Â The men's fencing team went undefeated on Sunday, going 6-0. In the final regular-season match of the season, UNC took down three ranked teams.
North Carolina opened up with back-to-back 16-11 wins against No. 12 Boston College and MIT. Elden Wood posted a 5-1 record, and Maximo Zafft went 4-1 between the first two rounds.
Casper Mika, Cristian Porras, Eli Lippman, and Peter Bruk went undefeated against Brandeis, as Carolina won 17-10.
Carolina took down Air Force 23-4.
Foil led the way against No. 14 Johns Hopkins as they went 9-0. Epee also had a great day against the Blue Jays, putting up a 7-2 record.
The Tar Heels battled No. 11 NYU during the night's final match, as sabre and epee both went 5-4 keeping the score close. Foil brought home the final victory of the day by going 7-2, while Alexander Sichitiu went 3-0 for foil.
