Troftgruben Named To Preseason ACC Watch List

Chapel Hill, N.C. – University of North Carolina rower Lindsey Troftgruben has been named to the Preseason ACC Watch List, the conference announced on Wednesday. In its second year, the Preseason ACC Watch List recognizes one rower from each of the 12 league schools with rowing programs.

Troftgruben, a sophomore from Aurora, Colo., returns for her second year with the Tar Heels after competing in nine races over four events in her debut season. She earned a spot on the V8 boat as a freshman and helped UNC win the Petite Final at the 2024 ACC Championships. Troftgruben was named to both the All-ACC Academic Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll after her first season.

Rowing season is just around the corner and UNC will open its spring season against High Point on March 8. The invitational season gets going at the Cardinal Invitational in Oak Ridge, Tenn. March 15 and 16.
