Women's Golf Adds Tamisier From France
November 12, 2025 | Women's Golf
Mila Tamisier has signed an athletic scholarship agreement to attend the University of North Carolina and compete on the women's golf team, Aimee Neff, the Tar Heels' Bobby Galloway Head Coach announced today.
Tamisier has two wins and six top-10 finishes in World Amateur Golf Rankings events and placed in the top 15 in a professional LET-Access event last summer.
The resident of Marseille, France, won the French National U18 Qualifier and French International Ladies Amateur Championship last year, taking the latter title with rounds of 70-69-68 for a 9-under 207.
In 2025, she placed fourth in the Grand Prix Saint Donat, seventh in the Grand Prix de Chiberta, 11th in the R&A Girls Amateur, 12th in the Spanish International Women's Amateur and 14th in the LET Access Montauban Ladies Open, where she carded a final-round 69. She also competed in two other professional events. She won the Championnat U18 Royan, a women's collegiate tournament, in Paris in 2024.
Off the course, Tamisier has tutored other students both academically and those with special needs.
"Mila's passion and desire to play at UNC are second to none," says Neff. "She brings great energy to everything she does and embodies the type of person we want in our program. Mila is eager to learn and grow, works incredibly hard and has a great attitude. We're thrilled to have such a talented golfer, outstanding student and fantastic young woman joining us next fall."
