Volleyball Climbs To #21 In Coaches Poll
October 13, 2025 | Volleyball
LEXINGTON, KY. – For the second straight week Carolina volleyball has climbed in the rankings, now sitting at No. 21 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll.
Â
It is the highest ranking since the Tar Heels were ranked No. 11 to start the 2017 season. UNC is riding a seven match win streak and currently tied atop the ACC standings with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. The 6-0 start is the best in league play since 2016 when Carolina opened conference play 11-0 before making it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
Â
The Tar Heels are coming off a 2-o week that saw them win against Georgia Tech for the first time since 2017 and winning in Atlanta for the first time since 2016. They head back on the road this week for a match against Boston College Friday night and then head to Syracuse for a Sunday matinee.
