Tar Heels Sweep Campbell, 7-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- In its second of two matches on the day, the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels (2-0) defeated Campbell (0-1), 7-0.
In doubles action, the top-ranked tandem of Tanguilig and Maltby quickly picked up a 6-0 victory on court one. On court two, Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton tallied Carolina's second 6-0 victory to clinch the doubles point and give UNC a 1-0 lead entering singles play.
In singles play, Carolina placed three freshmen, two seniors and a sophomore in the starting lineup.Â
Thea Rabman, ranked ninth in the country, collected a quick 6-1, 6-1 victory on court two to give UNC its second point. Freshman Alanis Hamilton and Claire Hill, who each picked up their first collegiate win earlier in the day, won in straight sets to give Carolina its third and fourth point.
Despite already clinching the match, Carson Tanguilig, Alana Boyce and Lindsay Zink each won to cement the sweep over Campbell.
