
Carolina Blanks Badgers; Advances To Sweet 16

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Despite being forced to move its match indoors due to weather, the North Carolina Tar Heels (24-3) defeated the Wisconsin Badgers (19-7), 4-0 to advance to the sweet 16.
In doubles play, the Tar Heels quickly gained the advantage with a 6-3 victory by Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig on court one. Shortly after, Carolina fell on court three to force everyone's attention to court two.
On court two, Elizabeth Scotty and Anika Yarlagadda grinded out a 7-5 victory to give UNC a 1-0 lead entering singles play.
With the doubles point advantage, the Tar Heels continued its momentum from doubles play. Elizabeth Scotty, Carson Tanguilig and Fiona Crawley each won in straight sets to send Carolina to the round of 16.
