
Fencing Hosts Second-Annual Tar Heel Duals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina fencing team is set to host the second-annual Tar Heel Duals, their sole home meet of the season, this Saturday in the Eddie Smith Field House. The Tar Heels will welcome NYU, Boston College, LIU and the women's teams from Temple and Northwestern.
Admission is free and competition will kick off at 8 a.m.Â
Both Carolina's No. 15 men team and No. 20 women's team will both face Boston College at 8 a.m., LIU at 9:15 a.m. and NYU at 10:30 a.m. The women's team will compete with Northwestern and Temple in the afternoon at 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., respectively.Â
The match will be double in size from a season ago. Last year, Carolina had three visiting teams with six strips to fence on compared to the five schools and 13 strips this year.Â
Saturday will also serve as senior night for the fencing program. 12 different Tar Heels will be honored in a ceremony during the meet.Â

12. William Wun – Men's Saber
Parking will be available the Boshamer Stadium and the Raleigh Road Visitor Lot.
