Women’s Soccer, Florida State Square Off For ACC Championship

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina women's soccer is seeking its 23rd Atlantic Coast Conference championship – and first since 2019 – on Sunday afternoon as it takes on Florida State at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary during the 2024 Ally ACC Tournament finale.
The fourth-seeded Tar Heels and Seminoles, the tournament's third seed, will kick off at noon ET. The match will broadcast nationally on ESPNU with Marion Crowder, Lori Lindsey and Alex Perlman on call.

- Six Tar Heels combined for seven All-ACC postseason honors: Trinity Armstrong and Kate Faasse on the First Team; Dahlien and Tessa Dellarose on the Third Team; and Armstrong, Bella Gaetino and Linda Ullmark on the All-Freshman Team.
- Armstrong is the first Tar Heel to be named to the All-ACC First Team and All-Freshman Team since Alessia Russo in 2017. She is one of two freshmen on the All-ACC First Team, and the only rookie defender on the first, second or third team.
- North Carolina is currently No. 2 in the latest NCAA RPI from Nov. 8. The team has been in the top four all year.
- Carolina, ranked eighth nationally, enters Sunday's contest with a 16-4 (7-3 ACC) mark on the year. No. 6 Florida State boasts a 13-2-3 (7-2-1 ACC) record.
