ACC Outdoor Championship Kicks Off Thursday At Duke

DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina opens the outdoor track and field postseason on Thursday at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Duke.
Action starts Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Morris Williams Stadium with the men's hammer competition. The event continues throughout the day on Friday and concludes with the relay finals on Saturday night.

Admission is free for all spectators with general public parking available in the Science Drive Garage. For more information on parking and attendance, click here.
Carolina's Jill Shippee, who owns the ACC record in women's hammer, will seek to defend her 2021 title in that event. Six other returning Tar Heels who medaled in individual events at the 2021 ACC Outdoor Championships last season in Raleigh will seek to again find their way to the podium this weekend.

It's UNC's second time this spring competing at Duke. The Tar Heels also were in action in Durham in April for the Duke Invitational.
