No. 1 Women's Tennis Grabs Road Win At Cuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - No. 1 North Carolina picked up a 6-1 victory at 42nd-ranked Syracuse in an Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Tennis match Friday afternoon from Drumlins Country Club.
North Carolina (21-0, 11-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) has won the doubles point in every league match this season and that streak continued with wins Friday on courts one and two to gain the early 1-0 advantage. No. 48 Makenna Jones and Elizabeth Scotty clinched the point on court two, while No. 4 Sara Daavettila and Cameron Morra improved to 8-0 this spring with a win on court one.
No. 66 Fiona Crawley is now 21-0 in her rookie season with a 6-0, 6-0, win on court four. No. 37 Alexa Graham's 137th career win made it 3-0 Tar Heels, and No. 106 Reilly Tran also remained unbeaten at 14-0 in her first year with the match-clinching point from court five.
No. 19 Cameron Morra grabbed a win on court three, and No. 3 Sara Daavettila notched career win No. 141 to complete the 6-1 victory, the 39th in a row for the Tar Heels.
Carolina faces Boston College on Sunday at 10 a.m. A win over the Eagles will secure at least a share of the ACC regular season title. Syracuse falls to 6-10 overall and 5-8 in the ACC.
