WEYMOUTH, Mass. - The top-ranked North Carolina women's tennis team won its 40th-straight dual match with a 7-0 shutout of Boston College on Sunday morning.
North Carolina (22-0, 12-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) also secured the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACC Championships for the seventh time in the last eight seasons going back to 2013.
Boston College dropped to 4-9 overall and 2-9 against the league.
UNC won the doubles points with identical 6-2 victories on courts two and three. Alexa Graham and Anika Yarlagadda were first to notch a win from court three, and No. 48 Makenna Jones and Elizabeth Scotty closed out doubles play from court two.
