Men's Tennis Looks To Extend Hot Start

Ranked No. 1 in the nation in the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings for a third consecutive week, the University of North Carolina will look to extend its torrid start to the 2021 men's tennis season with a pair of road matches this weekend.
UNC will play at Louisville on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. and will visit Notre Dame on Sunday at noon. The matches will be Carolina's third and fourth in a row on the road. Each of its last seven matches have been away from Chapel Hill, including three wins at the ITA Indoor Team National Championships three weeks ago in Champaign, Ill.
The Tar Heels are 8-0 this season, including 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Carolina has won 10 consecutive matches overall, including two in a row to end the 2020 season. Head coach Sam Paul's team is 20-1 since the start last season (12-1 in 2020 and 8-0 so far in 2021).
Carolina will return home to host Boston College on Friday March 12 at 1 p.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
