UNC Continues ACC Play at Pittsburgh

CHAPEL HILL – Coming off a 5-0 shutout win over ECU, the Tar Heels continue their roadtrip at Pittsburgh Friday through Sunday.

The Tar Heels and Panthers will begin the series at 5 p.m. Friday and continue Saturday at 5 p.m. Sunday's game will air live on ESPNU at 4 p.m. Check back on GoHeels.com for updates. Recently for Carolina (17-12, 6-3 ACC)
With a season high of seven stolen bases, Carolina shut out ECU, 5-0 on the road Wednesday afternoon. After four scoreless innings, Kiani Ramsey slugged a bases-clearing, three-run double to left for the lead. Berlynne Delamora drove in one more on an RBI-walk and Abby Settlemyre finalized the game's scoring with a sac-fly. Brittany Pickett threw 6.1 innings to earn her 10th win of the season.
» The Tar Heels reset their single-game high with seven stolen bases with two each by Kristina Burkhardt and Campbell Hutcherson.
» Carolina was patient at the plate, drawing seven walks to tie the second-most walks in a game this season.

Carolina is 3-2 at Pitt, going 1-2 in the most recent road series in 2016. Kiani Ramsey leads UNC with a .400 average on 38 hits. Brittany Pickett picked up her 10th win on Wednesday.
