Despite limiting the 11th-highest scoring offense to five hits, North Carolina dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 5 Tennessee. The Tar Heels bounced back with a win over Georgia Tech in the series opener, but struggled to finish it off, dropping the series, 1-2.
» Without an earned run, Brittany Pickett struck out four in her ninth complete game against Tennessee.
