CHAPEL HILL – The Tar Heels' two-run first inning would be all they needed to clinch the series against Boston College on Saturday afternoon. Hannah George and Brittany Pickett combined for Carolina's 2-0 victory and fourth shutout of the season.

Megan Dray's two-run single in the first inning gave Carolina the edge to improve to 14-9 overall, 4-1 in ACC play. Boston College falls to 7-13, 0-2 in conference. UNC will play for the sweep on Sunday at 1 p.m.

» Kiani Ramsey tracked the ball back the warning track to strand the Eagles on the bases.
