
Tar Heels Conclude Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, SC - The Tar Heels concluded the third round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club on Sunday afternoon.
Finishing the tournament in seventeenth, the Tar Heels posted a team score of 23-over-par 307 in the final round.
Competing as an individual, freshman Jennifer Zhou was the highest placing Tar Heel with a cumulative score of 12-over-par, which placed her in a tie for 46th.
Kelly Whaley carded a 76, Mariana Ocano shot a 77, Ava Bergner finished with a 79 and to round out the scoring Nicole Lu recorded an 81.
The Florida State Seminoles captured the tournament victory with a team performance of 2-under-par, which was 17 strokes better than second place.
Next up for the Tar Heels is the Tar Heel Classic in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic, on March 15 and 16.
