CHAPEL HILL - No. 1 North Carolina will host a pair of women's tennis dual matches this weekend at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The Tar Heels face Boston College on Friday at 3 p.m. and Syracuse on Sunday at 10 a.m.

North Carolina (12-1, 1-0 ACC) remained on the top line in this week's ITA Team Rankings for the third week in a row.

Boston College (6-3, 0-2) has begun ACC play with a pair of losses, but enters Friday on a three-match winning streak with victories over

Syracuse (8-1, 1-1) has won its last five matches and coincidentally the last three have come against Yale, Harvard and Brown. The Orange will visit Virginia Tech on Friday at 2 p.m.

The Tar Heels get a much deserved break after a busy start to the dual match season. Carolina returns to the court at Miami on Friday, March 16 at 4 p.m. in Coral Gables, Florida.
