UNC Kicks Off ACC Play Friday With Lunchtime Tennis

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Carolina fans are invited to come out and enjoy some tennis during lunchtime Friday as North Carolina kicks off Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis play with a home match against Virginia Tech at 12:30 p.m.
The matchup is the first half of a UNC tennis doubleheader on Friday at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The Tar Heel women host Boston College at 3 p.m. There is no charge for admission to either match.
Another tennis doubleheader is planned for Sunday, as the UNC women host Syracuse at 10 a.m. and then men step back out of ACC play to take on Texas at 1 p.m.
UNC is ranked sixth nationally and is 9-2 overall. The Tar Heels, who finished ACC play 10-2 a year ago, boast the No. 1 singles player in the country in sophomore William Blumberg and the No. 6 doubles team in Blumberg and senior Robert Kelly.
