
Radlin, Walker Lead Carolina At Wake Forest Open

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- Sophomore Reynaldo Radlin claimed a win and junior Malai Walker grabbed two top-three finishes Saturday to lead Carolina at the second day of the Wake Forest Open at Kentner Stadium.
Radlin took first in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.02, and Walker finished second in the 100 (11.73) and third in the 200 (24.23).
Senior Kelvin Hardesty finished third in the men's 200 (21.47), while freshman Roy Smith finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 53.11, and freshman Devon Carter took sixth in 53.33.
Both the men's and women's 4x100 relays placed fifth. The women's team of senior Christine Johnson, juniors Elizabeth Mott and Zoey Russell and Carroll finished in 46.99, and the men's relay of Hardesty and freshmen Nick Platt, Roy Smith and Devon Carter combined for a time of 41.81.
Senior Dominique Jackson placed 24th in the women's 1,500 meters in 4:52.73, and sophomore Brittany Carroll finished 32nd in the women's 200 25.57. Platt also finished 44th in the men's 200 in 22.57.
Carolina will compete next weekend, March 25 and 26, at the Raleigh Relays at NC State's Paul Derr Track and Field Stadium. Stay tuned to TarHeelBlue.com for more meet information.
