
No. 7 Carolina Rolls Past Minnesota

CHAPEL HILL --- The No. 7 North Carolina women's tennis team improved to 8-2 with a 7-0 win over Minnesota Saturday afternoon at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The Tar Heels swept the doubles point and did not drop a set during singles play.
The No. 16-ranked doubles tandem of Sara Anundsen and Jenna Long scored an 8-6 win over Ashley Schellhas and Alex Seaton at No. 1 doubles. Austin Smith and Sophie Grabinski topped Tijana Koprivica and Danielle Mousseau 8-3 at No. 2, while Katrina Tsang and Laura Reichert won 8-3 over Lindsay Risebrough and Mikayla Rogers at No. 3.
In singles action, No. 7 Long defeated Schellhas 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1 position. No. 33 Smith, Caitlin Collins, No. 73 Sanaz Marand, Reichert and Meg Fanjoy also chipped in straight-set victories. Carolina has now lost just three singles matches in six home dual matches.
