PHILADELPHIA, Pa.--The top-ranked University of North Carolina field hockey team defeated No. 3 Michigan 2-1 Saturday to remain unbeaten on the season and advance to the championship game of the Temple Invitational. The Tar Heels will play Temple Sunday at 1:30 p.m. for the tournament title, which UNC has won in each of the last eight years. Both teams head into the game with 4-0 season records.
In Saturday's first game, Temple defeated Maine 4-3 in overtime to reach the championship of its annual tournament.
