Dr. Enock Francois
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Enock Francois joined the Carolina Wrestling coaching staff in October 2023.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Carolina clinched a share of the ACC regular season title, the 19th in program history and the first since the 2018-19 campaign. The Tar Heels qualified eight for the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia, the most since 2021. At the national tournament, Lachlan McNeil earned All-America honors with a fifth-place finish at 149 pounds, becoming the sixth Tar Heel with three-or-more All-America finishes.
In his first season in Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels had their most dual victories since 2019-20. Individually, five Carolina wrestlers earned berths to the NCAA Championships in Kansas City, with Lachlan McNeil collecting All-America honors for the second-straight season.
A familiar face on the sidelines with head coach Rob Koll, Francois spent the past two seasons at Stanford as an assistant coach (2021-22) and the Patricia Miranda Associate Head Coach (2022-23).
In his two seasons with the Cardinal, Francois mentored three All-America wrestlers and three Pac-12 champions. With Francois on staff, Stanford was able to secure multiple top-10 recruiting classes, as well as a top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships both seasons.
Francois, a distinguished member of the United States' Senior National Greco Team, joined the staff at Stanford after serving as the Buffalo Stampeders Wrestling Club Director, and Special Services Coordinator at The Villages Charter School.
After completing his undergrad degree in psychology with a concentration in social work from California Baptist, Francois completed his master's degree in special education and Ph.D. in education leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.
