2018: Played in 41 sets, primarily as a serving specialist • Had a single-match high of five digs vs. Louisville (9/23) • Tallied three aces: vs. Maryland Eastern Shore (9/1), at Miami (10/5) and vs. Virginia (10/14).
2017: Appeared in 26 of 28 matches (86 sets) as a true freshman, including two appearances at libero • Totaled 75 digs, 12 aces and 13 assists • Registered three double-digit dig performances • Posted 11 digs and three assists against Auburn in her first career appearance • Took over at libero for the final three sets at Wake Forest (11/22) and went on to record a personal-best 21 digs and two aces • Made her first start at libero in the season finale at Duke, posting nine digs and a season-high four assists.
Prep: 2016 South Charlotte Weekly Player of the Year • Transferred to Providence Day School as a junior and played in all-but-one match over her two seasons • Earned all-conference, all-state and named to the Charlotte Observer's NC Finest list as a junior in 2015 • Three-time Charger of the Week (2014, 2015) • Volleyball with the Knights All-Tournament (2015) • South Charlotte Weekly Player of the Week (2015) • Played at Covenant Day School for her first two years of high school, leading CDS to back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2014 • All-conference and AVCA Phenom in 2014 • Totaled 134 aces, 1,113 digs, 79 assists and 46 kills over her high school career • 63 aces and 488 digs as a senior • Played club ball for the Carolina Union, serving as the libero for the 18-Premier team from 2015-17.
Personal: Born Madeleine Grace Hough on July 17 • Daughter of Andrew and Candace Hough • Goes by “MG” • Has a younger sister, Camille • Father Andrew played college baseball, while mother Candace was a nationally-ranked gymnast • National Honors Society in high school • Named Providence Day School Homecoming Queen as a senior • Majoring in psychology.
