Career Best Times: 50.17 in 100-yard backstroke; 1:47.25 in 200-yard backstroke; 50.06 in 100-yard butterfly; 1:49.58 in 200-yard butterfly; 1:49.96 in 200-yard individual medley; 3:53.10 in 400-yard individual medley.
2011-12: Member of UNC's scoring team at the ACC Championships...his best finish at ACCs was a victory in the consolation heat (9th place overall) in the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.10...also had an excellent Nike Cup performance in 2011...took fourth in the 400 IM (4:01.24), eighth in the 200 back (1:51.86), eighth in the 200 fly (1:51.78) and 15th in the 200 IM (1:53.57)...earned Dean's List honors in both semesters of his freshman year...earned 2011-12 ACC Honor Roll accolades...garnered College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America honorable mention kudos.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer/diver is the support and great friends that come with being on the team, and the competitive atmosphere in practice and in meets.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is his easy-going, yet serious, attitude when we train, and knowing that he is at a meet to win.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my underwaters and breaststroke.
4. My best friend on another college swimming team is Tyler Fleming at Duke.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is my drive to swim my fastest when under pressure.
Section #2: Interests
1. Away from the pool and academic pursuits I like to spend time hanging out with friends.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is The Avengers.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be basketball.
4. If I could attend a musical event in person I would like to go to a Luke Bryan concert.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is that I like I like to draw and I am a good marksman.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included Barbeque chicken, mac n cheese, garlic broccoli, deviled eggs and potatoes and gravy.
2. My favorite beverage is chocolate milk.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my grandma's pumpkin pie.
4. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is carrot cake with cream cheese icing.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go 15 years into my future.
