CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina swimming and diving teams swept Duke on Friday evening at Koury Natatorium. The men's team smashed the Blue Devils 220.5-79.5, while the women distanced themselves, taking the dual 179.5-120.5.

The men's team was led by Ben Delmar, Sean Setzer and PJ Foy. Both Delmar and Setzer won four events, while Foy topped the podium three times. Delmar won the 100 and 200 breast and the 200 IM, while also helping the 400 medley relay to a victory. Setzer took the 50 and 100 free, while assisting the 400 medley and 400 free relays to wins. Foy was victorious in the 100 fly and also was part of the wins in the 400 medley and free relays.

On the women's side, Samantha Armand and Lily Sawyer had great days with Armand claiming four event wins and Sawyer snagging three. Armand was the fastest in the 100 and 200 breast and the 200 IM, while handling a leg in the 400 medley relay. Sawyer claimed the 200 free and 100 fly and was in on wins in the 400 medley and 400 free relays. Sawyer's 52.31 in the 100 fly was her personal best and moved her to No. 6 all-time at UNC in the event.

The divers also made big contributions to the team scores. Sofia Knight took first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Her score of 312.90 in the 1-meter moved her to No. 7 all-time at UNC in the event. Rodolfo Vázquez claimed first in the 1-meter and second in the 3-meter for the Heels.

Next up, the women's divers will host Tulane on Friday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. in Koury Natatorium. The swimmers and divers will then be in action at Virginia Tech on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m.
