2011 NCAA Tournament Game Highlights: Early foul trouble against Kentucky in the regional final limited him to four points, nine boards and no blocks • Fouled out late in the game - was the only time this season he had more than three fouls • Picked up his third foul with 6:39 to play in the first half and his fourth with 16:03 to play in the game • Had only four field goal attempts, fewest since the fourth game of the season, and did not have a block for the first time since the first ACC game on Jan. 8th • Posted his ninth consecutive double-double and 15th straight double-figure rebounding game with 14 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks against Marquette • Scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half as UNC built a 40-15 lead • Stole the ball on an inbounds pass with 5.4 seconds to play and UNC holding an 84-83 lead in the NCAA Tournament win over Washington • Dexter Strickland followed the steal with two free throws for the final winning margin • Scored a career-high 28 points and had 11 rebounds and five blocked shots in NCAA second round win over LIU • Became the first Tar Heel to score at least 25 points, grab at least 10 rebounds and block at least five shots in an NCAA Tournament game • The 28 points are the most by a Tar Heel in his NCAA Tournament debut since Lennie Rosenbluth had 29 against Yale in 1957 • Posted a career-high 20 points in the first half when he made 7 of 12 shots and went 6 for 6 from the line • Made a career-high 10 field goals and career-high 8 for 10 free throws • Was his seventh consecutive double-double and 13th straight 10-rebound game • Became third Tar Heel to block six shots in an NCAA Tournamentgame (Warren Martin vs. Middle Tennessee State in 1985 and Rasheed Wallace vs. Georgetown in 1995).

2011 ACC Tournament: Shot just 4 for 15 from the floor but had a career-high 18 rebounds against Duke in ACC final • Scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half and had 11 rebounds against Clemson in the ACC semifinals.

Regular Season Game Highlights: Tied his career scoring high with 19 points in win at Florida State • Made 7 of 11 shots from the floor, had 12 rebounds and was UNC's defensive player of the game for the second straight contest • Matched his career high with seven blocks and grabbed 15 boards for the second game in a row in the win over Maryland - had five blocks and 12 rebounds in the first half as Carolina built a 12-point lead • Grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked six shots in the win at NC State • Defended guard Reggie Jackson at the top of the key on the final play of UNC's 48-46 win over Boston College • Had 14 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks (all in the first half) against Wake Forest, his fourth double-double in a row • Had 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the 64-62 win at Clemson • Hit his first three-pointer of the season against the Tigers • Had 10 points and six rebounds in the first half at Duke as UNC built a 43-29 lead and finished with 14 points and 12 boards • Had 16 points and 10 rebounds and was UNC's top defender in the win over Florida State.

Played one his finest games as a Tar Heel in the home win over NC State as he had 16 points (6 of 10 from the floor, 4 of 8 FTs), 16 rebounds, a career-high tying seven blocks and a season-high three assists and was UNC's defensive player of the game • It was the first time this year he won top defensive honors as he helped limit NC State to 23.3 percent shooting in the opening half and 36.4 for the game • Had 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in home win over Clemson • Had key offensive rebound and basket with 2:06 to play to give UNC a 70-65 lead • Scored 17 points in the win over Virginia Tech, including 12 of UNC's first 23 points in the second half as the Tar Heels rallied from seven down at the break to a 47-all tie • Matched his career high with eight field goals and added eight rebounds and four blocks against the Hokies • Gave Carolina its first lead of the second half in the win at Virginia on a left-handed drive to the basket with 3:15 to play .

Second on the Tar Heels and fourth in the ACC in blocked shots with 60 • Was 43 for 86 (.500) from the floor with 80 rebounds and 28 blocks in ACC play • Scored 151 points in the last 16 games (9.4 per) • Pulled down 45 offensive rebounds in the last 15 contests • Made 54 for 105 from the floor (.514) in the last 13 games after Davis went out • Blocked 35 shots in the last 15 games • Made 17 for 46 (.370) from the free throw line after joining the starting lineup.
