Born Jalen Cantrell Washington on Feb. 21, 2004, in Hobart, Ind. • Son of Jada Sterling and Jimmy Washington Sr. • Has a seven-foot, four-inch wingspan • Ranked No. 2 academically in his senior class and was a member of the Indiana Academic All-State team • Member of the National Honor Society • Played AAU for Meanstreets • Played the cello and piano from second to seventh grade • His older brother, Jimmie, plays basketball at IU-Northwest • Majoring in exercise and sport science in the sport administration program.
